A day after he called Bush "the devil" in a speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Chavez said: "He's an alcoholic and a sick man." Bush has acknowledged that he had a drinking problem when he was young but gave up alcohol 20 years ago.
Chavez received a round of applause from the crowd at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, which included activists and other supporters as well as actor Danny Glover.
He called Bush's policies in Iraq criminal, adding he hopes Americans will before long "awaken" and elect a better president. While he opposes Bush, Chavez said the American people "are our friends."
Some in the church laughed and applauded when Chavez compared Bush to cowboy movie icon John Wayne.

Considering everything else he said, why should anyone be surprised?

Permitting that outburst, and then the reaction to it proves the United Nations is a complete waste of time and money. Any organization that is allegedly dedicated to diplomacy should never allow itself to be associated with this kind of wing-nut.

Of course, what would you expect from an organization that saves a seat at the policy-making table on Human Rights for some of the greatest oppressors of humanity?

When Bush was in Russia, he insulted President Putin about not being democratic enough. Putin, instead of childishly letting his media flunkies use a foreign president's criticism to make Russian criticism of his regime seem anti-Russian, dismissed it by answering back, "We certainly don't want the kind of democracy you've created in Iraq."

So, whatever you might say about Putin, at least he's a man, unlike our Preppy Pipsqueak and his bobblehead flunkies.

First of all you have to remember who is calling who what, I do not believe in calling names on anyone, it's bad for business. I wonder how much the U.S. has invested in Venezuela in the past, and I bet if a natural disaster were to happen the U.S. would be one of the first to send help.

That was an odd comment, I wondered what prompted him to say that. That would be like Bush calling him a cokehead. Very strange indeed.

Mr.Chavez shouldn't be calling any one a name. after all who
do u think buys the most oil from his country? & give him millions
on top of that for certain programs for his country. I say dont buy
any more oil from him & cut off his money source. Let him get

I think Bush is definitely on "something"... and alcoholic was probably better than calling him a pothead, prescription addict, or depakote dope!
