have to make concessions to militant bastards?
i read alot of stuff on here, and over and over i see people who think unreasonable people can be reasoned with. this is lunacy.
leaders and leaders of "states" have proven over time that they cannot be trusted(feel free to complain about any or all, i'm open minded and want to understand a different path of logic)
i'll use the logical example...
what the pope said, was taken completely out of context, a bunch of unreasonable people have done a bunch of unreasonable crap, and now a bunch of clerics want him removed.(again unreasonable) did they even hear the speech? they by themselves are proving what the pope said, to be true. yet the civilized world needs to respond with reason. tact, and political correctness. seems more like a bunch of spoiled children, having a fit. if my children have a fit, the last thing i'm going to do is cave in to that fit. how would that help the situation?

two more examples..
N.Korea and Iran have shown the international community what an agreement means to them. yet we need to take the long, drawn-out path, that gives them both all the time in the world to work on their "evil" plans. how is this logical?

OIL. The civilized world that runs on it aren't prepared to have an alternative fuel source. It's highly possible IF there were a feasible alternative the civilized world could and would tell them to go inhale sewage until they learned to play nice with others.

Wow - a question from someone who's paying attention.
I see little or nothing wrong with your logic. If they are to remain free, civilized countries must reevaluate their position of giving human rights and concessions to people who apparently aren't capable of acting human.
For a few other real world examples, remember when Jimmy Carter wasted a whole year trying diplomacy and negotiations while the Iranians held American hostages captive? It was a total waste of time.
And, during WWII, while the French were still debating whether Hitler was a serious threat or not, the Nazi's marched into Paris.
I really can't understand why people can't see or don't realize the serious threat that Islamic radicals pose to the world.
Just what do these murdering thugs have to do to get these people's attention?

well first of all - logic and politics ... two totally different worlds - and the thing you call civilized - come on, be honest - is it really?
yes , you are right about the things you sad , i agree, but it is sad that evil is always born from another evil - and Pope really did a nice one ... i understand that he was quoting something , but still...(I'm not saying that he wasn't right, but why add petrol on the fire?)
spoiled kids ... agreed .
I'm just saying that logic is far from the minds of the politicians who are not really working for the interests of people they represent.

HI DADDIO,HOW COME 0VER 100 MILLION MUSLIMS HAVE BECOME "MILITANT BASTARDS"YOU TRIED TO MAKE A REASONED POINT BUT YOUR OPENING STATEMENT SHOWS AN UNREASONED BIAS.LET ME SEE IF YOU CAN FOLLOW THIS.THE ANGER YOU SEE IS NOT RELIGIOUS IT IS POLITICAL.
THESE RELIGIOUS GROUPS HAVE HIJACKED POPULAR SENTIMENTS IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND ARE RIDDING IT ALL THE WAY TO THE THE BANK.IN THE 40" AND 50'S THE BRITISH AND FRENCH GOVERNMENTS PUT POLITICAL SYSTEMS IN PLACE IN MOST OF THE ARAB NATIONS - ONE EXAMPLE IS THE KINGDOM IN JORDAN.THESE GOV.DID NOT SERVE THEIR PEOPLE BUT OPPRESS THEM.IN LATER YEARS THE USA JOINED IN THE FRAY SUPPORTING GOV.IN EGYPT, SAUDI ARABIA ,TUNISIA, ALGERIA ,IRAN.TAKE SADDAM'S IRAQ.FOR SO MANY YEARS WE KNEW WHO HE WAS BUT WE KOWTOWED TO HIM.HOW MANY WOMEN HAD TO BE RAPED AND KILLED ,HOW MANY CHILDREN HAD TO BE ORPHANED FOR THE WORLD TO REACT.HAD HUSSEIN NOT INVADED KUWAIT HE WOULD STILL BE SITTING PRETTY TODAY.BUSH WAS RIGHT WHEN HE CALLED FOR TRUE DEMOCRACY IN THE MIDDLE EAST.HE KNEW THAT THE ONLY WAY TO OVER COME A LOT OF THE NONSENSE WAS THROUGH POLITICAL CHANGE.BUT NOW HE HAS COME FACE TO FACE WITH THE TRUTH THAT ALL THE SO CALLED FRIENDS OF THE USA IN THE MIDDLE EAST WILL BE KICKED OUT OF OFFICE IF THEY HOLD FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS.

Becasue the "leaders" of the civilised world do not want to take "uncivilised" actions & hence be free from being labelled as uncivilised.
Politics - leaders of certain countries stand to gain when the militants & their targets kill one another. For example, country A sells arms to the militants, country B do not want their oils supplies disrupted, etc etc.

I think alot of these people are being unreasonable too. These people are acting in a way that we don't know how to relate to:
especially the deal with the Pope, he should just stop apologizing. Whatever he says will not be enough. He should just stop trying.

Believe this currant pope was following order. Most likely to get all the money some Federally Funded Faith based program promised. he throws out some gasoline and some well paid and placed agitators light a few matches, and of course liberals in press have exactly what they want. A picture of few ready to sail to USA, and cause havoc. Please save us Republicans. Get rid of all professional politicians in all parties.

I agree with you. Muslims get offended because they think the Pope said they were violent. How do they protest this? By burning churches ans shooting a nun.
And the Pope should apologize?

Most people are sheep and have no real thoughts of their own.
It just depends on what flock they belong to. Just like everything
else - its only a small flock that causes all the problems in the
world. What would you do about it ? Drop bombs on all the
Innocent sheep, that are just as dismayed as your are?
The Pope is in a very visable position and he and his advisors
have to be extremely carefull about what they say.
