1. "Jamaican slang that has been adopted by some African American rappers and inserted into popular culture. The term "Bling Bling" refers to the imaginary "sound" that is produced from light reflected by a diamond."
2. "flashy or gaudy jewelry, named for the sound generated when worn."
I have chosen these two to better illustrate the whole "bling" thing. More on UrbanDictionary.com

It means that Hip Hop culture, expolits children and the poor by over-buying diamonds from South Africa, India and other poor countries where children often mine them starting at 6 years old... They are beaten, starved and treated horribly as slaves.
So basically... you have these rappers, who make millions of dollars and to show their wealth and new-money, classless, tasteless pomp, they prance around with diamonds around their necks and even in their mouths that were mined by the blood of children and poverty stricken people in third world countries.
Pimp cups, grilz, big spinning car ornament sized decadence and a total disreguard for the human race...
It is discusting... that's what it is.
Kanye West... is THE ONLY responsable rapper who refuses to exploit his own people to own a necklace he doesn't need. GO KANYE!
