I'm in a keeper league, 1 QB, 1 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 Flex.

My RB's are Larry Johnson, Shaun alexander and Willie Parker. My Recievers are Steve Smith, Randy Moss, Antonio Bryant and Mark Clayton. My QB's are Delhomme, Vick and Warner/Linehart. With Moss on a horrible team about to implode and An abundance of RB's...I'm considering a trade of Alexander and Moss for Larry Fitzgerald and Deangelo Williams. That would give me Fitz/Warner and another potetial stud with Williams, since I'll probably start LJ every week anyway.

Any thoughts?

I could also pull the same trade but for Andre Johnson and Joseph Addai.

Which would you do? Or would you do niether?

It's an intriguing trade because you are playing in a fantasy keeper league, otherwise I would tell you straight up NO WAY.

My question is who are the running backs for the team with which you are trading? I ask this because Alexander may be a great add for this guy, but if he has other RB with good upside then it will be more difficult for him to choose who to play each week. This could actually be a benefit to you.

While trading Alexander at what appears to be the pinnacle of his career seems ridiculous, since it is a keeper league you constantly want to be building a team for the future while remaining competitive.

I think Randy Moss is not the top tier receiver he used to be. Even if he is traded to another team, his chemistry problems make it difficult to rely on him. Fitzgerald has now replaced Moss in the upper echelon of receivers. He has great potential and could replicate the likes of Holt, Harrison, and I hate to say it Terrell Owens. I really like your pick up there, especially since Smith is injured and Clayton is isn't getting the ball in Baltimore yet.

From my point of view you need a great receiver -- Fitz is just that and young (potential keeper). Your running backs are stable and productive in Johnson and Parker. Adding Williams provides youth for the future in case Johnson or Parker doesn't pan out.

I think one of the other responders recommended this, but your best trade would be Moss for Fitzgerald straight up. If you can't pull that off then part with Alexander.

My recommendation, since it's a keeper league, is pull the trigger.

MAKE THE TRADE!

No way, I think Alexander still has a lot of good football left. Frankly, I would send LJ down the road with Moss and keep Alexander. The Chiefs O-line is getting old, as is the entire Offense. I think in the near future the Chiefs will become very one-dimensional under a very defensive minded coach in Herm Edwards. I know that might sound crazy but I really like D Williams and have already put him on my team. All things considered I wouldn't trade any of your backs, if some how you could get him to go for Moss and ....... maybe Delhomme in a counteroffer you would be made in the shade. I love having a stable of RB.

That is a really great keeper League, good balance between Studs and potential studs, Williams would be a great add to that

I would try to pair down the trade and see if ou can trade Moss for Fitzgerald straight up. If that is not possible I would probably do the trade because Alexander is getting old and the Seahawks have lost a lot on the offensive line. The shelf life for RB's is short so when Alexander does decline it will happen rapidly. This may be the best time to move im so you can get the most value.

If you can start 2 running backs a week, this is a horrilbe trade. A Larry Johnson/Sbaun Alexander is the best combo in the game.

i'm a large fan of hoarding assists, as they are the toughest type to discover on waivers, noticeably in a keeper league. Wall and Jennings provides a sturdy base in assists to construct around for years. Rebounds and factors (it incredibly is in fact all that Stoudamire provides, whether he's large at getting them) may well be got here across lots extra quite. And Stoudamire's factors would desire to pass down a small tick now that he's twiddling with Carmelo for an entire season. And Joe Johnson is coming off his worst season in 6 years. His lowest factors consistent with activity provided that 04/05, his lowest rebounds consistent with activity provided that 2002/03, his lowest assists consistent with activity provided that 06/07, his worst feet% provided that 06/07, the 1st time his steals consistent with activity fell below a million.0 provided that 02/03, and for the 2nd straight away twelve months he purely averaged 0.a million blocks consistent with activity, after averaging 0.2 each and every season of his profession (together with his first 2 years as a bench guy). All interior the comparable season... purely a bad twelve months for him. he's going to coach 30 in a week, he has his extensive settlement signed... I do purely no longer see why you're so large on getting Joe Johnson suitable now. he can not get that somewhat extra effective. With Johnson turning 30 and his numbers occurring hill, and Stoudamire turning 29 this twelve months... i do no longer see why you commerce between the superb novices in years and a ability destiny Derrick Rose for them. As i've got mentioned in different posts, examine out the numbers from Derrick Rose's rookie twelve months and learn them to Wall's final twelve months and you will see very comparable numbers. Wall will finally end up transforming into a Derrick Rose form very quickly (even perchance by making use of this twelve months), and if that happens i think of you will finally end up regretting this deal lots, noticeably if Joe Johnson performs like he did final twelve months (or maybe gets worse). And while you're actually not protecting Lawson (i like him, yet no extra desirable than Jennings)... why contain him interior the commerce? If he needs Frye as a keeper, it incredibly is cool... yet while Lawson isn't a deliberate keeper then i does no longer even communicate him. The commerce is honest. you're able to desire to even get the extra effective of it next twelve months, in case you get fortunate. yet i think of, 2 years from now, you will wish especially strongly you hadn't traded John Wall while the two Amare and JJ are on the incorrect fringe of 30 and Wall is an MVP candidate.

Stay with who you have. Fitz and Williams are great to own in a keeper leauge, but Alexander is too much.

Why make this deal? You are stacked, no reason to mess with it. Alexander will be good for a few more years. No telling what Williams will do.
