It's unlikely that anything too noxious will grow in your tea overnight - unless, of course, it has sugar in it.

It can grow things. Even plain water can. There was a program on public television about cleanliness, and they left the water filtration pitcher on the counter for 6 hours and you could see mildew and stuff growing on it after that.
You might not get ill from whatever's in there, we probably consume a lot of stuff already that you wouldn't want to think about, but why take the chance if you can prevent it?
There might be less growth if it started out as boiling water, or if there's lemon in it (acid tends to reduce bacterial growth), but I wouldn't drink it if I were you. Make your own, or toss it out if you find it that way, then make a fresh pitcher for everyone.

Sure. I used to grow the tea fungus that was all the rage a few years ago, supposedly helped your health. Grew it in tea, and tea would actually start growing it without seeding it. Almost any liquid will go rancid, including water.

it probably won't after one night, but if it's in an open container there is a chance that it attracted pests. if it's in a closed or sealed container, i wouldn't worry about it.
