There are a lot of incorrect answers, or incorrect parts of answers given so far. Correct statements follow.
A rectifier is what converts AC to DC
A battery charger is a rectifier
An inverter is what converts DC to AC
Solar panels produce DC
As inefficient as they are, batteries are currently the best way to store DC
You can't store AC
Hybrid vehicles do not have any excess energy at high speeds to charge batteries, but can use regenerative braking to charge batteries as they slow down
You should suspect any answers that get these fundamentals wrong

Electricity is very hard to store. Batteries, for instance, are hopelessly inefficient, and DC only. But it would clearly be very useful to store excess energy from power stations.
In the UK this is done at the Dinorwic pumped storage system in Wales. Surplus electricity is used to pump water up a mountain to a lake. When the energy is needed, the system goes into revers and the water flows through hydro generators. Hydro plants can be very, very efficient.
Despite their inefficiency, batteries are used in hybrid cars. These use excess energy when travelling fast to charge batteries (alternator through rectifier to get DC). The power is used in the urban cycle to drive the car at low speed in traffic. Petrol engines are very inefficient at these low speeds, and the combined effect is to increase fuel efficiency by around 1/3 to 1/2.
Solar power is pretty much useless to power vehicles. A small car has a 30 kilowatt engine. Solar cells the size of a car generate a few tens of Watts.

In some cars, especially hybrids and strictly electric, they will use something called regenative braking. When the brakes are applied it sends some of the energy from the wheels into a generator to make electricity.
Power plants also try to store "energy" for use later during peak hours when more people need it (during the day). Some of the methods can seem a little crazy. One method for instance is taking the "extra" electricity generated at night to compress air into a large cavern. Then, during the day, the cavern slowly releases the air to push a turbine to create electricity again.
For a vehicle, I would like to see the possibility of using a flywheel to store the energy from braking and then help accelerate the vehicle later. Acceleration in a car is where a majority of the energy is consumed. And since it doesn't require any batteries, it wouldn't require a great deal of maintenance.

We can store electricity from a AC source in Batteries through an inverter which change the Alternating current to Direct current and then is stored in Batteries. One cannot store the A current however Alternating current can only be generated.Yes two different source of power can be used to charge the same Batteries.

For cars the best bet so far is power cells. Power cells need Hydrogen. If one have lots of ac power then rectify the AC Get a DC electrolyze the water and get hydrogen and use this Hydrogen to power the power cells.
Converting AC to hydrogen is not very efficient. But we are converting a static energy in to a movable energy. So cars can run. This is partly in use and mostly in research.
Solar cells can be used to get hyderogen from water. Economics prohibit this at this time

using an inverter to make it into dc,
store in on a battery.
yes, two sources can charge the same battery
yes, it can move a vehicle
but:
the elecricity would need to be generated somewhere.
and most places use coal or deisle fuel to run turbines...
and then power is lost in transmition, so its not as effiecient.
as well, solar cells are not yet good enough to power a car.
