No, I don't think so. The way the republicians have been running things it seems to me that Colin and Mcain are opening a window to clear the stagnent air that this country has been breathing the past 6 yrs;{ I think I'm misspelling John's last name wrong}.We have been getting the same messages from the white house that say"just shut up,I know what I'm doing";"and " I'll do what I want".

I hope so. Then I hope Powell, McCain and Leiberman all join forces to create a new 3rd party that actually holds some clout.
I would love for nothing more than McCain/Leiberman ticket to trounce the stale-thinking Republicans and Democrats in the 2008 election.

McCain? After his Campaign Finance "reform" bill, which had the specific effect of increasing incumbency rates and curtailing our 1st Amendment rights, and now his bizarre assault on our treatment of irregular combatants who have no standing under Geneva, it's hard to stand this pissant egotist.
He does, however support the war and a few other conservative things, but I wish Arizona would replace him with someone who is not a megalomaniacal schizophrenic.

Why would I disown Colin? I have never accepted McCain as a Republican so I can't disown something that I don't even acknowledge.

The democrats disown Lieberman? What part of democracy did you miss in school. The majority of the people in Connecticut do not agree with the war, Joe Lieberman did. So he was no longer representing the people of that state and they VOTED for somebody else. Simple thing even a dumb azz repuke' ought to understand.

We don't disown anyone but we don't necessarily hold them in high esteem. We pulled together for Jeffords and he is hardly a base republican.
What the Dems have done to Lieberman is a sign of what they will do to citizens who oppose them if they gain power.

Other way around.Mcain can't decide if he's left or right and Colin made his opinion loud and clear when he resigned from Bush's regime.Rudy Guiliani and Powell would be a fantastic ticket.

I don't think they can. Republicans, unlike democrats, have renounced slavery and don't own anybody.
