two operating systems only possible in 2 different partitions, assuming u have a single hard drive
easiest way would be to boot up computer from the os u wanna keep, format the partition which contains the os u wanna remove.
back-up data from partition u wanna format !
then use that partition for data storage
if u wanna merge the partitions, then i guess u gotta buy a tool called 'partition magic' from symantec
http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/products/overview.jsp?pcid=sp&pvid=pm80
or similar tool . . . sorry no freebies !
checkout which partition u formating, if it's d: or e: . . should not be a problem
if it's c: , then u'r boot.ini goes too
>>> please elaborate exactly, 4 getting better and more to the point answers instead of exploring all possibilities . . .

its simple! do it manualy....
but it depends wht two windows you have,is it same drive or wht? if they r on diffrent drives then just go over there and delete the one you wish too manualy (delete files *windows*,*programe file*, *document settings* every tht you have related to tht window)
but if you have two operating system in same drive then you can be in some trouble......if you delete those files of different operating sys tht you wanna keep
so be carefull ,,,and first make sure tht which wind. you wanna keep
suppose you wanna delete XP and keep 2000
then in drive C: you wld find two Windows folder ,two documebnt folder,
XP one wld be ~window so you can delete tht one coz - *Window* folder wld be of urs 2000
wht i mean to say is remove XP before 2000
because XP came after 2000 and its upgradation to 2000,if ya remove 2000 before Xp then there would be certain problems in boot.ini files

Before you delete make sure that you have all the disks that you need just in case you have to reinstall the OS.
