It's never a good idea to sell by owner, especially in this market. You'll net with more money even after the commission, if you spend time finding the right Realtor. If you see this as a hobby, then it may be a pretty costly hobby for you.
* According to Thomas M. Stevens, President of the National Association of Realtors for 2006, "Finally, the plain fact is that hiring a professional pays off. The typical home represented by a professional last year sold for 16 percent more than those sold without a professional’s help. That profit more than pays for the agent’s commission. Millions of homeowners know it, and that’s why they will continue to call on experienced real estate professionals."

FSBO.com is good and the reference to Craigslist.com is also excellent. My experience is that you may not see much action and in the end results will be brought about by pricing and marketing. You may also may want to consider offering a fee to local agents who could bring you a buyer. This would discount the fee in the 50% range as an example offer 3% to the sales office.
Be prepared to complete all required forms, disclosures etc, in many states you will not be exempt.
What type of market is occuring in your community? Sellers/buyers market this will help you in your marketing plan.
Best to you.

Hello,
You should go to www.fsbo.com. Some people have also been doing the Craig's List thing.
Good luck!

My aunt used it to list and sell her home.
Try your local newspaper...most will list real estate on their websites.
Create, or have someone else create, your own web page.
You can design it how you want, add pics, details, that sort of thing.
