I read on some breast militia site (probably Kellybitches) about breastmilk was a hypothetical and probable treatment for various cancers and leukemia. Does anyone have any scientific info about the verity of these claims? Has it cured anyone from terminal illness?

No scienfific research to back this up. At all. It's nothing more than the placebo theory at work. A person beleives something is working, and the power of the mind makes their body feel the assumed change.

I'll take my chances with GOD and prayer if doctors couldn't help with medicines. I'd choose the power of prayer anyday over drinking some chicks mammary secretions. Gimme a break. For real.

Find the site again and show us, it could be interesting. Maybe they will find that formula is the miracle cure to something also and then nobody will have anything to complain about.

edit to add: Thanks for providing the link. This has nothing to do with the 'Kellybitches' as you call them. It has everything to with one woman facing death and grabbing at any source of hope that she can find. My dad died of pancreatic cancer and if he was provided with any hope, he would have tried it. The research is ongoing so it is obviously inconclusive at this time. Who knows what could happen? Many people believe prayer works but there isn't any scientific evidence backing that up either even if it has
saved so many lives.
I'm not going to try to prove to you that breast feeding theories are correct (better bonding, healthier children) because even though the research say it is true, there are going to be exceptions. But you also have to realize that everything that you post here is not going to disprove it all either.

I have not heard of breastmilk "curing cancer" however I do know that donated breastmilk is used to feed cancer patients who are unable to keep anything down due to their chemo. This is probably not what you're looking for though.

The other references I've seen linking breastfeeding and cancer issues were related to breastfeeding reducing the risk of breast/ovarian/uterine cancer in the mother and breast cancer in women who were breastfed as babies.
