Most people when they are heavy drug addicts are sent to prison or rehab.

Rush Limbuagh was not sent to prison, by a liberal court!

Shouldn't Rush be thanking the liberals for not sending him to prison?

Isn't it hypocritical that someone who hates liberal courts, was saved by one?

Yes,it is hypocritical. His listeners wouldnt DARE say a word about it though.Rush is basically a criminal. His life is one big vendetta against the cool,"liberal" kids that rejected him during
the sexual revolution. He went over the top with his envy of Bill
Clinton in the early 1990s.He definded the neo-right's lack of decorum on verbal decency. He is notoriously inaccurate. He
has his listeners thinking they are are on the same page in life as him.A spoiled baby boomer with no message but "me me me!"
if there ever was one.

Only instead of being a sexually brazen lib,he's a reactionary with
nothing to lose to always take the reactioanry position. He laughs
when he gets away with what he does. And WE the American people are to blame for this monstrosity!

Also, the sting of open hypocrisy and shouting down people who point it out is another of his designer grugs.

Rush got the same sentence any white rich American gets .
Had he done an about face on his views of drug use maybe i could accept his use of pain pills more easily .
Plenty of republicans and conservatives now are not taking the drugs to curb Pain and are becoming even more convinced that drug use is bad and we can tough it out .If rush can become addicted so fast we should avoid drugs all together .
I heard some religions adopt this practice of no medical treatment and just prayer to God for the cure .
Good luck in the future with rush out there screaming he accidentally got addicted popped 20 pills a day and managed to go to work and still perform his job well .
Seems he would of become the poster boy for allowing people to use drugs like the one he was on .
NO car crashes he robbed no stores at gun point he continued to work sounds like this drug should be approved for use by anyone .Until he was caught did he encounter any problems other then trying to obtain drugs illegally .
I think more people should of swung rush over to drug legalization .

The difference is not between Liberal and conservative. That's not it. The difference is that Rush is wealthy. If I had done the same crime. I would be in prison now along with the 250,000 others that were poor and could not hire four high priced Lawyers. Also I think he's got it right to hire his hookers in other countries. I do not think he could get a real date in America. Who knows he might just stay in another country and "have a great time, wish I could tell you about it". "Rush Limbaugh is a big fat liar" by Al Franken is one of my favorite books, good reading if ya want some truth about Rush.

He would not have been sent to prison for being a "drug addict". He was convicted of "doctor shopping" after becoming addicted to painkillers prescribed to him legally by a physician.

Many liberal druggies like to say that Limbaugh is just as bad as they are since he was hooked on drugs. However, he did not choose to become hooked - it just happened. Liberal pot-heads, on the other hand, use illegal drugs with the intent of getting high, and subsequently become addicted. People like that deserve no sympathy because they did it to themselves. But nobody who is prescribed medication for back pain wants to become addicted.

Limbaugh (not the court) put himself into rehab for 30 days, for your information. If you can't see the difference between someone who inadvertently becomes addicted to painkillers vs. Jerry Garcia who intentionally became a junkie, then perhaps you need to put down the bong for a few days yourself.

He should be treated like everyone else.

I'm not sure what that treatment is. He was a first offender, for prescription medications (as opposed to cocaine, heroin, etc.).

I remember that Ann Richards, the ex-Governor of Texas who just died, had drug and alcohol problems. She beat them, and wasn't afraid to discuss them. I don't know much else about it - again she was just in the news so it came to mind. Again, treat people like everyone else in the same situation.

PS It would be very interesting to see the rise of a "liberal Rush Limbaugh" - people have been trying and it just hasn't happened yet. I'm wondering if the demographic of people who listen to talk radio just makes it a medium dominated by conservatives.

Rush and his mouth should have gotten time in prison but he is out still on the airwaves with his slanting of the news and his hate for liberal policies.

Rush Limbaugh should be the only person in America to be put into prison for opening his mouth and flapping his jibs. He would not know the truth if it walked up and bit him on the azz.

Sorry that is not correct drug users on a first offense will usually either get a differed sentence or a drug-court program with U.A. tests on a regular basis.

People of all walks of life have there inner demons to face and the past has shown that the system favors people who have money (OJ for instance), it wouldnt change there personal views on their political beliefs. Its apples and oranges, just because you are a person for example who hates republicans, that doesnt mean you stop talking to people everyway because you dont know who is a republican or not but even then just because they are stamped to a party doesnt mean they agree on everything.....thats like saying for the few that do something wrong the many suffer....

sure that's hypocritical. everybody with that lots ability regularly gets away with extra, suitable-wing or left-wing. i'd wager maximum first time offenders would get permit off ordinary, nevertheless... i think of the guy is amazing, yet he's especially lots a Republican cheerleader. he's appropriate many of the time, yet too many circumstances he places social gathering over theory... i'm a Republican yet i think of the drug controlling inclinations that they (and the Democrats) posess are stupid.
