Your question is too broad. It would be helpful to know what you are trying to do or what the question is.

At this point all that I can tell you about Macros is they are very good at doing repetive tasks and keyboard Macros usually aren't very smart.

I don't know if you have looked yet, but there is a lot of information on Macros available in the Help in Excel. I just looked and it seems to cover just about everything from creating Macros, editing Macros, security levels, running and deleting Macros.

A/ Create a macro:
==============
1/ Menu: Tools | Macro | Record macro
2/ Press OK
3/ do manually the operation of the macro (example change the background color of the current cell to red)
4/ terminate the macro record by pressing the button with a small square

B/ Run your macro
==============
press Alt-F8
Select you macro and press "Execute" button

C/ Modify the macro
===============
press Alt-F8
Select you macro and press "Modify" button
This opens a window where you can change the content of your macro
