That used to be an old mechanics trick back in the day.. if you had a valve lifer problem you could add a quart of transmission fluid to the engine oil and after a day or two of driving it would clear up... Tried it and it worked in the mid 70's.. But with modern engines I wouldn't really recommend it...but if its a small amount I doubt if it will hurt... But an oil change is cheap compared to an engine job...so be safe and have it changed

Your oil will be compromised and although a small amount may not cause any immediate damage - it will cause damage. Oil is made to heat at a different temperature than transmission fluid. The transmission fluid will reduce your oils viscosity and give you less protection inside the engine from heat. It would be best to change the oil as soon as possible.

Actually, it was suggested to me by a mechanic that adding transmission fluid to your oil and driving it around for awhile would help to loosen some of the "gunk" in your engine, due to its detergent properties. This should only be done before an oil change, since it is not advisable to use the stuff long-term.

A transmission doesn't have to deal with combustion byproducts, loads more heat and water condensation......, so detergents in trans fluid is barely needed, it does contain "dispersants" that are sorta like detergents....
It was a old trick way back when, when trans fluid had more additives then engine oil.....
a little, maybe under half a quart is nothing to go crazy over.... I'd go ahead and change the oil anyway.

Sometimes you can add ATF to your oil to clean out a dirty engine, but this is just to run it until warm and drain it out. If you just added a little bit, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It will lower the viscosity to some degree. If it's a whole quart or something, I would change the oil out.

Emptying the tank and refuel. Injector purifier is layout to be burn whilst the gas ignite, so it won't make dirt to the combustion chamber and oil. mutually as transmission purifier isn't layout by flammable factors, even oil could be burn yet at bigger temperature then gas. Unburn issues on combustion chamber will make dirt to the combustion chamber and different, beside it is going to break the catalytic converter by trapped oil. the two are comparable as purifier, yet distinction objective. If comparable objective, the business enterprise will make one bottle with extra suggestions.

transmission fluid is a thinner grade oil. as long as you didnt put more than a quart in it. you will be all right. but if more than that i would change it.
