Platypus are monotrimes (Lay eggs, warm-blooded, suckle young with milk) . Turtles are AMPHIBIANS ( can live on land and water, lay eggs, cold-blooded).

A tortoise/turtle is a reptile (cold blooded lays eggs)

and tortoise/turtles are...um.. dunno actually - reptiles??
