hi ya all! my workmate wants to know what catergory/species are "platypus" & "tortoise/turtle" thanks to all

Platypus are monotrimes (Lay eggs, warm-blooded, suckle young with milk) . Turtles are AMPHIBIANS ( can live on land and water, lay eggs, cold-blooded).

A platypus is a monotrime (warm blooded mammal but lays eggs)
A tortoise/turtle is a reptile (cold blooded lays eggs)

i think a platypus is a mammal
and tortoise/turtles are...um.. dunno actually - reptiles??
