The University of Bridgeport is a legitimate school. It isn't a scam or phony, but I have never heard anyone say anything about it being a top school. You aren't going to get a flood of job offers from having a UofB MBA. However, you will probably have some decent professors and you will get a general idea what an American university is like.
If I recall correctly the U of B almost went out of business a few years ago, but I think they made some kind of a deal with a religious group and are financially stable at present. You need to check on this because it would be BAD if you got a degree and then your school disappeared.
Bridgeport is not exactly the most beautiful part of the USA, either. Kind of a grey smudge on the road between New York and Boston.
