I guess you don't have IKEA stores in Singapore? You can probably get some reasonably-priced modern furniture somewhere though. I like chrome & glass myself. Maybe a cool chrome & glass desk. I would use light paint colours to make the room look bigger maybe a pale grey or light blue. You can use silver accents around the room too such as pillows etc. You can maybe use a screen to separate 2 areas so you can have privacy from your brother & at least have your side of the room tidy. Or you could get a bookcase unit to sit in the middle & use it for storage. I know it's hard to have a small room especially if you have a lot of things. The key is to use the space that you do have wisely. Try to have more vertical shelving to hold things. Also you can put storage under the bed. They even have beds like bunk beds with a desk underneath. Or I guess you could have bunk bed with your brother but that's probably not cool for you...

Anyway, good luck with your room!

Remove brother.
Quit buying stuff~cheap or otherwise.
Throw out/store out of sight anything that isn't metal or glass.
Paint walls a cool light color, like light grey or pale yellow or white (to make the place look bigger.)
Use small furniture that is multi-functional-like roll-around shelves and small cabinets.to use for end tables and storage.
Pick one retro color you like best and spice with that one.
