I am a very pale caucasian with green eyes and light golden brown hair. My boyfriend is African-American with medium skin tone and black curly hair. Is there a good possibility that our baby will have green eyes even thought brown eyes are dominant? What might her hair look like? I know she will be beautiful and we can't wait to meet her!!! Thanks! :)

Lighter then your BF's skin tone, her hair will most likely be curly and black but she won't have as course of hair and it's unlikely that her eyes will be green brown is a dominant trait and if either of your parents have brown eyes it's very likely that she will have brown eyes if your BF is full blooded african american he doesn't have the capability for passing a recessive trait for eye color and both parents will have to pass a recessive eye color trait.

look at other mixed race children to get a better idea :)

There is a big possibility that she could have brown eyes because the gene is dominant. But she could also have greens eyes from your genetics. Either way she is going to be beautiful! My daughter is Latino, African-American , Caucasian , Korean, Italian, and Indian. She has ice blue eyes (rare) and a creamy sort of french vanilla skin tone ( what we really didn't expect). She has Black long hair that comes to her knees and it has the texture of a caucasians hair. So expect the unexpected!

Well... All that your boyfriend has is dominant... and all that you have is recessive. However, my friends had a kid 3 years ago. The mother has dark hair and brown eyes. The father is blonde with blue eyes. The baby has dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes. So it's really a toss up as to what ur bundle of joy will look like. but Good luck!!

It's a very real possibility your baby could have green eyes. Yes genes from darker people tend to be stronger but the reality with AAs is that our genes are not that strong. It's been said the 90-95% of AAs are mixed with all sorts of other people somewhere down the genetic line, since being in the US. Your baby could be very pale. You just never know. I have two cousins with very light hazel eyes and both their parents are regular black people.
My sister's husband is half Japanese. Her baby looks completely Japanese, except that her hair is not completely straight.

I guess the probability of your baby being green eyed is very low, since you are recesive, black is dominant. But genetics are very weird and it depends on so many things....my uncle (white skin, dark brown hair, brwon eyes) married a black lady and their first kid was blonde and blue eyed, because my grandfather is blonde and her mother is a blonde, their other 2 kids were black as black can be lol........i guess it all depends on your families and the background you also have. Either way your gonna have a beautiful baby, that's the important thing. Congrats!!

My cousin was married to a half black/half white man. Their kids had soft curly black hair, brown eyes, and light colored skin. Brown eyes are more dominant.

it's a hard question. the fact that you have fair skin and your boyfriend has a medium tone makes for lot of different results. the child could be as fair as you. on the other hand, she could come out to have dark skin or anything in between! genetics are a strange thing! my mom was very fair. my dad had dark skin. my sister came out to have fair skin and short, course hair. i have a medium tone of brown skin and i have very long, curly hair. looking at my dad you wouldn't think he would have any fair skinned children (my sister). but we look just like him! like i said genetics are strange! good luck on your pregnancy and delivery!

All a roll of the genetic dice. If BF has medium skin tone, possible he has caucasian blood in his make up, so green eyes are a big possibility.

Typically brown eyes are always more dominant, so the baby will probably have brown eyes. As far as the rest goes, I guess you'll have to wait and see.

Congratulations!
