I do, I even lived in Germany on my own for a few months, but I think I am the exception and also I am originally from Puerto Rico (but lived 18 years in the USA). I travelled a lot throughout Europe in my 20's and ended up marrying a SwissGerman. Now I take German lessons and moved not so far from Rheinfelden, Germany. I go shopping there every weekend cause its too expensive in CH!! My best friend here is from Hamburg. My favorite city in Germany is Cologne.

ok the following we pass. initially human beings and the British (i'm between the latter) did not Bomb German cities for exciting. They bombed German cities to hasten the authentic of the warfare. the actual undeniable reality that civilians were below their bombs change into neglected on the time specially by using actual undeniable reality that German bombers hadn`t cared even as their enemies were less than them Secondly. You state that your Grandfather change into in an EINZATSGRUPPEN. A German soldier scuffling with adversarial to the Russians . The Einzatsgruppen were set up to annihilate the Jews, Gypsies, and Soviet political commissars. If he change into he would have seen poor issues that would have led him to the desirable theory that the shortcoming of the warfare through Germany change right into a strong ingredient. Thirdly. Your Grandmother doesn't have seen American squaddies taking Dresden. Dresden change into captured through the Russians. it really is nicely documented that Russian troops dedicated atrocities adversarial to conquered peoples. finally. the excuses human beings waged warfare on Germans change into extremely easy. Germany declared warfare on the u . s . after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The human beings and the British commonwealth, aided through the Russians then kicked hell out of Germany. No offence meant even if it change right into a wrestle over the right to stay in Peace or less than tyranny. Ray.

I have been to all of them and many others! Loved them! I used to love to watch them light up the castle in Heidelberg and fireworks off the old bridge!

My favorite town in Germany is Bad Kreuznach. I was there when I was in the USAF in the 1950's. I fell in love with the town and the people. Kaiserslautern was a good town to go shopping in. And, of course, I loved Berlin (especially the Reci bar)

Not many at all. Why do Germans know a lot of American cities besides NYC? I think our education system is working on increasing our knowledge. I know my 13 yr. old is learning World Geography/History and is much more knowledgable than I.
