I would highly recommend BUPA. My parents had to pay to get my severe slipped disc removed - I would have been in screaming agony for 3 months if we had waited for the NHS. It was expensive, true, but the service, hospital, private room, staff, food, consultant. aftercare - all were perfect, it made what was the scariest moment of my life into almost routine!

I work at BUPA. It depends on the operation, but its a lot cheaper if you are actually a member of BUPA rather than just a random person thats come in.
It will be expensive, but if you can afford it then you should go for it. The hospitals are clean and the medical attention is second to none. Also its quick and easy and you wont be waiting months on the nhs list for it. There is also lots of after care for patients to help make sure you recover well.
If you want to speak to someone at BUPA who might be able to help you a bit more than me (as I actually work in the Health Assessments Department) you could give our switch board a call and they could probably help you and maybe even give you a ballpark figure that you could have a think about. Our switchboard number is 0800 00 10 10, everyone that works for us is really friendly, its a free phone number, you have nothing to loose!
Hope this helps x

Hi it all depends what sort off operation you are having ,all operations are all differant prices.I had a op in Bupa 4 yrs ago,i had two lateral ligaments reattached to my lateral side off my ankle with 2 metal type staples,i had a plaster cast applied to and was in hospital for 5 days the total cost was £2750,this is without any sort off physio which i had thou in the nhs hospital for free.I do actually recommend private treatment, there very nice hospitals to stay in,staff are waiting on you hand and foot, but i did find it a little boring at times as after the 3rd day i was feeling better, you are in a room on your own and not much going on as the bupa hospitals are small not like general hospital so i found it quiet, but if you are in pain suppose its nice to have all that, all depends what sort off person you are.Well good luck what ever you do.
