I think you might want to try maternity too, but otherwise tighter exercise pants and like empire waist, wrap shirts, and like those shirts that are fitted up top and like flowy towards the bottom are really cute. A stretchy waist skirt and ballet flats would be a nice set too. Hope you find something!

I know what you mean. When I was pregnant, my waist got thick before I really had a belly. I used to take a big rubber band, slide it through the buttonhole of my jeans, making kind of a slip knot, then wrap the loop part around the button. My jeans were fine except for the waist and this solved the problem until I was 5 1/2-6 months, when I HAD to go into maternity clothes. With my 2nd daughter, I went into maternity clothes a little sooner, like 5 months but did the same thing until then. Good luck and congrats. Good health to both of you!

Invest in a couple of pairs of maternity slacks to wear with babydoll tops. If you can't button your jeans anymore then it's not too soon to move into the pants with the expandable panel in front. Also, JCPenney always had the nicest maternity clothing in their catalogs & their prices are really reasonable. Check out local Goodwill stores or even children's consignment shops for maternity clothing in your budget - lots of folks just get rid of them when they're done having kids. You don't have to wear sweats throughout your pregnancy - I never did - but you don't have to spend a fortune on maternity clothing, either. Congrats!!

Just wear baggy shirts and leave the button open on the jeans. Start getting some nice pull on knit pants. I suggest going to the Goodwill shops for now.

When you're pregnant, it's never too early for maternity clothes. You're just going to have to get them sooner or later anyway so try the thrift stores. Or maybe go up a size with elastic waists and longer shirts. Godloveya!

I went to a consignment shop, spent $35 and got some REALLY nice (like Ralph Lauren) maternity clothes. They make maternity jeans that are stretchy in the middle, so they fit, and with a shirt on, you cant tell.

I started wearing maternity jeans at 3 months with my first child and 2 months!! with this one. I'm also 3 months along and I KNOW what you're going through. If you can afford to buy at least one pair of maybe black maternity pants? I would suggest that. Good luck!

There are alot of shirts out there with empire waists, or that are loose at the waist. I think you should get some of those. I got a great one at Old Navy for $25.
As for pants, look for ones with spandex. It's got some give and will allow still hug that new curvy figure.

Go to a thrift store if you can't afford new ones and just wash them when you bring them home. You have to try different clothes till you find some that are comfortable.

If you don't want to wear sweats, you could try to wear tighter exercise pants. They are tighter, but elastic on the waist.
