I've actually avoided the pet section for a while to avoid the idiocy! Fake questions and white dog poo have become about 60% of the questions lately... :-( Sad that people feel pet care is a joke!

Yahoo!answers could well be compared to a walk down main street, any main street anywhere in the world. You will encounter ALL kinds. Not all of us are rocket scientists.
There are also a lot of children, bored people and sickos around.
All in all however I believe that this is a great forum, once one learns to take the good with the bad.

There are jokesters that put goofy questions in every section. What I think is truly sad are all the people asking breeding questions that are totally clueless. And all the while, millions of dogs are being put to sleep because of lack of enough homes. I wish they would leave breeding to those that know what they are doing: the people who pour their heart & soul into dogs are showing (proving their dogs are good breed specimens), doing the proper screening (OFA for hip dysplasia & CERF for eye clearances) and temperment testing. Everyone else that can't adhere to that protocol should have the sense to spay & neuter their pets.

I've noticed it, too. It is sad. I also wonder if people even look to see if when they're asking a question, that Yahoo shows them the question has been asked before. They might check into that and look into those answers before posting their question. Those of us who love animals never ever mind helping another person out. However, how many times can you answer, "Why is chocolate bad for my dog?"
