I need to get out of my house this weekend but we have no money at all. Any ideas of what my husband and I can do? Also, any ideas to convince my husband to go with me? He loves to stay at home and do nothing but I need to get out as I don't have a car so I am stuck at home all day with children. If you have an idea for something at home what is it? Thank you so much everyone in advance!

Go hiking. Take a lunch with you, and don't be afraid to "become one with nature" if you know what I mean.

You could also go for a drive. Drive through the nicest neighborhoods and pick out your favorite house. Figure out a short-cut to work. Drive down the dirt road you've passed a million times. Etc.

Hi ther, we too don't get out much with a little one at home. We made a "date" night the other night, I got a bottle of wine, and after our son went to bed we had the wine and played board games. We often do this for cheap entertainment, and the competition of the game is fun. We started a tradition that each christmas, we buy eachother a board game, so slowly our collection is increasing and their is lots to choose from. You could also just have a snuggle movie night, bring the theater to you. You can make a nice dinner, and decorateyour table with candels and stuff, lay out a blanket for massages afterwards. Another great family day isgetting a kite and going to a park to havea picnic and fly the kite. The most important thing is enjoying some qualitly time together, hope you have a good weekend and my suggestions helped.

Watch the sunset. It is one of the most wonderful things that doesnt cost any thing. My husband and I cuddle on a blanket or in the car. It is so romantic, sometimes we bring a bottle of wine and just spend some time together. Have fun with each other, get a family member to watch the kids and just spend some alone time together.

Pack a light lunch, a blanket, and a book/newspaper and head out to your local park. Find a nice quiet spot away from the kids area and any other crowd and spend a nice quiet day together. You could also take a frisbee or a deck of cards...think of the things you two enjoy together. As for getting him to go, well you could always make a card to invite him a your "special date".

The pet shop you can browse around and look at cute little things and since you already have children there is not a chance you want something else to feed or care for so it's a cheap date I also like the old movie and comfy sweats at home deal.

Maybe go for a bike ride if you have a bike. Maybe go to the mountians or the local damn(they have places to ride) Pack a lunch and just spend the day together. You dont have to spend money to have a good time together. It should just be the to of you getting to know each other again. THAT DONT COST MONEY!!!!!! Just enjoy the time you have together. He must also know that you have to make time for each other. I think alot of us forget about that when we have kids. You guys need to make time for just the to of YOU. Good luck

I would go to a nice restaurant. I realize that might cost money, but it might be an investment worth making. He's gotta eat and if you can both agree on something - that would work.

The question is where are you? Urban or rural. UK or US?
Hard to come up with good ideas without some info.
