My period is now a week late, I have taken two EPT pregnancy tests and both have come up negative. I have been sick (throwing up) often in the past few weeks, nausus, gaining weight, im tired all the time, and my breasts are sore. Could anything else be causing all this? I was on the pill but i did miss a few days here and there. Im at the point where I just wanna know a yes or no so I can change my lifestyle if necessary. The test i took is sopposed to be one of the best ones on the market and twice it came up negative. I was on the seasonal pill where you donw have your period for like 4 months, i had missed a pill at least once a month, now my package ran out and i am sopposed to bleed now... the white pills. but im not and i dont feel like i am going to. so, please if you have any idea what could be going on with me, help!!! If youve been through this let me know! I smoke, and I dont wanna hurt the baby if I am pregnate. please help!!!

Sometimes it can take time for the effects of the pill to clear from your system. Some of the symptoms you are describing can be felt prior to your period recommencing. Sometimes the pregnancy tests can give false negative readings, this may have been because the 1st wee in the morning has a stronger concentration of the pregnancy hormone.so I would suggest that you either try a test on the first wee in the morning or wait for another week and do another test then, if it is still negative and you have the same symptoms as you do now then a trip to the doctor would be a good idea. Doctors follow a code of confidentiality so what you discuss with your doctor is between you and them. It would also be a good time to stop smoking not only for the health benefits for your baby but also yourself.

I am in a similar situation. I haven't had a period since July 26 and I am on the pill as well, but missed a few as I tend to do every month (ortho tri-cyclen). I have been on the pill for 8 years and have never missed a period in my life (even before the pill). I have taken several HPT's and a blood test and all were negative. The advice I would give you is to trust your body. Wait another week or so and try the test again. If it is still negative go for a blood test or ultrasound. Many women's clinics (not Planned Parenthood, they just do a urine test) will perform a blood test or ultrasound for fairly cheap. My local women's clinic did a blood test for $30 and will do an ultrasound for $50. Call around to your local clinics. People can give you advice and tell you it's all in your head, but you know your body better than anyone, so listen to your instincts and trust your body. Hope everything works out the way you want it to. Good luck!

All those symptoms could also be that your period is coming. Everyone's period is different. But the fact you came off the pill and was irregular about taking them, you screwed up your cycle. Anytime you change anything, (food, medicine, stress or non-stress, etc.), your body changes, thus late or early periods. Especially coming off the pill. That changes your whole hormonal system. Don't be so anxious to take a test when you miss a week. If you are a month late, then start taking the test. Symptoms of breats, and nausea only usually start from the 5th week of pregnancy to th e7th week. (ANd how long the nausea is is different for every woman.)

First of all.. you can find planned parenthood in the phone book or on the internet. Go there and have a pregnancy test done and talk to them about your birth control.
Second, why do young women not seem to understand that a pill (or shot, or any other method of birth control) that stops your period for 4 months at a time is not good for you? You're supposed to have periods. That's one of the things your body does to stay healthy. You need to have your peroid if you're not pregnant. Don't use birth control that makes your body do things that aren't natural. If only screws up your system.

If you leave the test for 10 minutes and then check it under really bright good lighting, you may see a very faint second line if you are pregnant. It would be a good idea quit smoking untill you know for sure, but I know that like any addiction thats easier said than done ! Mabye try to cut back a bit and make sure your getting plenty of fruit and veg and folic acid (dark leafy green vegies or suppliments). If its still negative wait a couple of days and take another test, or you could see your gp about a blood test for pregnancy as they often can give a result earlier.
Best of Luck :-)

Look you might be pregnant but this is nothing with the negative test because it is only one week late. You have to wait for about 2-3 weeeks and then take the test again or better go to your doctor. If you are pregnant [please do not kill the baby. Keep it. It is a human being and something that mixes you and your boyfriend.

These birth control pills can cause the SAME symptoms as pregnancy.
or you might have concieved but the pregnancy is NOT going to take. This would give a nagative result on the tests.
RELAX and change your lifestyle anyways, if it is unhealthy for a baby it is for you too.

Your body can make you think you're pregnant even when you're not. then again it could be a tubal. a tubal could kill you if not taken care of, and they show up much later on a home pregnancy test. this isn't worth saving 100.00 in hospital bills to risk your life for. Also, you could go to a free clinic and not pay a penny. its not just for poor people, its anyone who doesn't have insurance.

Sounds like pregnancy to me, although not certain.
Remember that these tests can provide false negative results, but not false positive results.
If you are in doubt, go see your doctor, who will do a test without you having to pay for it.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test. IT will show if you are pregant and if not they can probably determine something else irregular in the blood work.
