I am a teacher in a high school and we recently had a lockdown. Keeping in mind that I am in my 8th month, I quickly felt the urge to pee. I could not leave the room to use the bathroom, so I had to bite the bullet and hold it in. The lockdown lasted for well over an hour, and by then I felt like my bladder was literally gonna burst. Finally I knew that I couldn't hold it anymore and started to leak. I left the room and made a dash for the toilets, but when I got there, they were locked, and I wet my pants. I was so embarassed.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Of course you'd be embarrassed. Since you're so close to your due date, you could try carrying some small thin sanitary pads in your purse or wearing them just in case.'

Don't be emabarassed. That is the worst feeling ever! I remember having my bladder go into spasms when I was in the car at a stoplight and I also peed my pants. It's horrible and after having kids I don't have the bladder control that I used to. That's the price we pay! Good Luck!

I know how that feeling is, where you just HAVE to pee! I don't think I would have been able to hold it that long! It's better that you just go, because it's bad to hold it in...could cause a bladder or urinary tract infection. Try not to be too embarrassed though, I've peed my pants before too, being pregnant. Luckily only my fiance was with me, but still...not something I wanted him to see!

Holy cow. Get some light bladder control pads. Some of them are as thin as pantiliners, none would be the wiser.

No need to be embarrassed.
After the baby is born, you should ask about Kegel exercises to help prevent stress incontinence.
But they still won't help if you are pregnant and locked down.

Wasn't there anybody going around checking on each classroom? There is something wrong there.
