A sporting-goods company is very similar to many other companies that need to find customers, market to customers to survive.

* Brand marketing-creating the brand of the company.
* Market research-finding the right customers, how many of them, how to reach them, "pain points" or what do customers need in a sporting goods product.
* Product marketing-what are the products we need to create or carry to be successful?
* Advertisers-how do we reach our customers...
