Robbie Williams (born Robert Peter Williams 13 February 1974 in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is a British pop singer. He became a member of pop boyband Take That in 1990, and they went on to become the biggest selling boy band since the Beatles. Williams left Take That in 1995. He became one of the most successful male solo artists in British history with album sales standing over 45 milllion worldwide.

Released where? He was (is?) super-popular in Europe, way before he was in the US. I believe his first single in the States was "Millenium", but I dunno about Europe.
Was he the one that was with the band Take That? I think their first single was "Back For Good" so maybe that counts?
