Stacy and Clinton on "What Not to Wear" say that wearing white all year long is fine now! It use to be you stopped after Labor Day and started agan at Easter. That's all "old news". You can wear it till your heart is content and the open toed shoes? All year long! Why not? There is a color called "winter white" and it's beautiful! So if you are hesitant about the plain white, try winter white. Godloveya!

The old rule was you shouldn't wear white shoes after Labor Day, but I don't think many people follow that anymore. I live in Phoenix so it's acceptable to wear open-toed shoes all year round. Wear them as long as your feet aren't cold!

You can wear them year round, but like others have said... weather permitting. If you want to wear open toed shoes in the middle of winter, you might want to carry your shoes and wear boots. That would be the best solution to prevent snow/slush/salt from damaging your shoes, and boots would keep your feet warm until you get to your destination where you can change into your open toed shoes.

I have to agree with ducky, as long as weather permits then I would say ok. The others are right on about technically after labor day you are not suppose to, but I think alot of it will depend on where you live. If it is still warm outside where you live then go for it. I still have worn a pair of white flip flops I have on days that are warm outside. I don't really care what others may think.

Until the ground is as white as your outfit and the snow gets in through the open toes of your shoes - anything else is just a fashion push to get you to pay for new clothes.

Honestly, I don't care! If I want to wear white for Christmas I'm going to! If I want to wear white to school, Oh well! Most white things I own are to thin to wear in cold weather, but if their not, I'm not going to let someone who said you shouldn't wear white after Labor Day ruin my wardrobe. Sorry I can't answer your question the way you probably wanted me to.
