Buy wherever you like or where the gas is the cheapest. It won't affect Chavez one bit...he'll just have more to sell to China and your prices will go up.
Chavez doesn't need anything to add to his warped bravado...he's a multi-billionaire dictator with no upright character. Boycotting Citgo only hurts the American "mom and pops" who run the retail outlet stations...it DOESN'T hurt Chavez...if we don't buy his gas, someone else will...it's a commodity. Let's see...do you think he will be hurt if he only makes $100 billion this year instead of $110 billion? Of course not!

Im not going to Boycott Citgo. I look at it like this: Had Bush not invaded Iraq over some bullshit then the coast of gas and oil would not be where it is now. On top of that, since the beginning of the war, the price of oil has wnet up so high that for the last 3 years hard working poor people can not afford to put oil in their heating unit. NOw Chaves wants to give it to them for pennies to stay warm, I say do what you have to do to survive. Your own goverment is not doing anything for ya so get support the best way you know how!

Hate Citgo..............have for a long, long time--but it was the local owner who was just as crazy as Chavez..........a friend of mine built a convenience store across from the property where he was planning on putting up a citgo. This man chased Richard with a shovel, swinging it at him because he already had a business across the street.......maybe having a mental problem (like Chavez is a prerequisite for owning Citgo franchise?

First of all, if my comments and others' contributed to Chavez rightly comparing Bullshit to Bill Hitler or Adolph Clinton or something, then I am very proud and satisfied.
Second thing: Most 9/11 attackers were Saudi nationals. If Bullshit, or any other president, would have been a human being-instead of a war monger-and developed better relationships with Russia and Venezuela, I assume they would have sold a lot of oil to the US in cheep price, and wouldn't have insulted the US president (if he was a human being character). Then the US president wouldn't have had to lick the asses of the Saudi absolute monarchs (though I wouldn't object to an absolute monarchy should Prince Harry become king of Britain).

I do, but there's no way to tell who's gas one is buying.
If one company runs low, another company loans them supplies. It works both ways when and until there may be a point of settlement.
I've seen tankers with one brand filling at a competitor's supply.
Citgo is wholly owned by Venezuela. Valero is Canadian.
In Galveston, the most regular lowest price is Conoco.
The latest threat from OBL is the Gulf. Could that come from Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba?
I have traveled Venezuela, and Mexico.
Venezuela is a beautiful country, beautiful people. Damn shame.

Probably not. Pick your poison.
Yes- the postings on Yahoo Answers most assuredly contributed to Chavez's bravado. I hear that he and his staff read these religiously to determine the tenor of american sentiment.

I don't use exxon or shell as they are owned by middle east. I tend to use mom and pop places or BP, as it is American owned, but I will avoid citgo as well.
I think Chavez's tyrade came from how bush presents himself to the rest of the world.

i won't pump gas at citgo, buy cigarettes , milk pop or bread under any circumstance.chaves' bravado will be shortlived. he is just another who is going along with iran in condeming the us. they are shooting themselves in the foot. pakistan has nuclear power, iran is obtaining it, and they have always been at odds with one another. they are going to blow each other up. who is going to be his buddy then?
