We live in a very self-centered, self-seeking world. We are constantly trying to find our own ways of peace inside. It seems to be always about us. What we have failed to miss is the peace that surpasses all understanding is right there waiting for us, all we have to do is ask for it, and it will be given to us. However to acchieve this peace, there is a key ingredient that must exist in our life beforehand. That ingredient is the presence of Christ Jesus in our lives. We must have had a time in our lives where we have trusted Him as our personal Savior. 1 Timothy 2: 5 says, "For there is one Godd and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." We must let Christ be the bridge for us that reconciles our relationship with God. HE is the mediator, not us. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one gets to the Father except through me )John 14: 6)" Once we accept Christ, we can accheive this peace.
Philippians 4: 6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Do you wish and desire to have this peace? If so, your relationship with God must be reconciled through Jesus first. Ask Jesus to forgive you. Admit hat you are a sinner and turn from your sinful ways. Tell Christ that you wish Him to take control of your life. Believe in Him. Trust in Him and then His peace, not our peace, will become our peace.

I'm a long distance runner and I find my peace (or my "center") on long relaxing runs down country roads or wooded paths. I find the time to think about my day, set goals, and solve problems. I also get in shape while I'm running - which makes me very happy.

Silence!
Just having total silence surrounding me, helps me get to
my center and get focused again. Like when I go outside,
on my covered patio, when it is raining, and just listen to
how quiet everything is. Or, when it is snowing, how
peaceful & quiet that is. Or put in earplugs or headphones on.
That's what does it for me...
everytime!
Super Question!

Go to the hardware store and ask for a "plumb bob" It will find your center. Or at least the vertical line from it.
