I've heard of them, but what makes them different from a regular mall?

usually its has top of the line stores...and the items cost less...there is one in southern IN and what would normally cost $80 for one pair of shoes, we got for $30, and there is nothing "wrong" with them...they just sell over stocked items

An outlet mall is a bunch of brand name stores gathered in one place who all sell their merchandise at reduced rates. They're very popular places and sometimes the management of the mall will arrange bus or train trips from surrounding locations, counties, or states to their mall for shopping trips. Usually there are also motels and restaurants that surround the mall so that you can make it a weekend trip.

often times you can get better prices at an outlet mall. The store may have closeout items and discontinued stuff. Big retailers like Nike and Reebok sell a lot of the items in their own outlet store that there is no longer demand for in first line stores

The real difference is that you access all of the stores and shops from the outside of one large building. I am a fan because I don't like crowded and enclosed spaces like on the inside of a regular mall!

usually outlet malls sell merchandise from thier stores that may be second quality merchandise, or possible defective. You will get a good bargain but its worth looking over closely as sometimes there will be minor damages that dont easily show up.

It is a place where manufacturers sell their products directly to consumers. It is different from regular because the prices are lower.

it is like factory stores with an illusion of savings. there is one near me and if there is 100 stores 99 of them will be clothes and shoes and one will be black and decker for guys. I have found the great outlet prices to be false.
