It is not your problem, it is their problem.
It doesn't matter why or even what they think.
Unless you have some insecurities about the relationship then it becomes your problem.

Hard to say just why, but this is probably something that is a lot more likely to occur in high school than after. If you go to college you'll probably find that people are on the whole much more tolerant. You'll also find that in society in general. Granted, not everyone, but high school is a lousy place to be different from the mainstream. Good luck!

It stems from their own insecurities. The best thing to remember is that high school is not the "end all" in life. I hope you're going to college, and you will find a lot more acceptance there. Be confident, respect yourself, and treat even your detractors with respect. If there are some really cruel people picking on you try to ignore them as much as possible. Just focus on graduating into the "real" world.

Because they're silly children who don't know anything about life yet. (Actually there's lots of adults like that too.) People are afraid of what they don't understand and that makes them lash out.

You're 18 and will soon be out of school. What these people think is the most unimportant thing in the world. Live your own life.

Good luck!

aww hunni I am sorry, I'm not bi, but I can't understand why people are like that. It's their problem and just let them get upset..why should it bother you, infact it should flatter you that they pay all that attention to u lol..Just don't show to much PDA (in school) and you'll be ok you're still in high school I'm assuming--immature people are there, when you leave high school you'll realize its a whole new world. Be safe ! Have fun and make good judgements =D

Dont let what others think get to you/ strait bi gay it doesnt matter you have to be true to yourself. You will always find people like that and sometimes its becouse they are afraid of there own selves. You will find later in life that more and more poeple respect you for being yourself then you realise. A lot are just to afraid to addmit it.

Some people are just ignorant to new things. Who cares what people look at you like....Ask them what are they looking at ,,are they jealous? I understand what you are talking about because im in a bi racial relationship,,some people are just ignorant. Dont care what people think,,,Be happy and you and your girlfriend hold your heads high.

Because society has them brain washed to believe you are an abomination. I wish you and your girlfriend well, and I hope you are strong enought to shrug off all the 'perfect people' that are grossed by you and your girlfriend.

a lot of people are ignorant and narrow minded so as long as your happy don't worry about what other people think about you. If people were more accepting of others, the world would be a better place.
