It's the answers the point scorers abuse. I came on to Questions and Answers to help people and share my experiances with others. To indulge in adult conversation by e-mail and hopefully help people out, from experiences in my life and to find answers to questions that I would like answered.
There are so many people who respond with one word, usually one abusive sentence. If people who are doing this just to get more points every time they answer a question, then don't contribute to what intelligent people are asking. I say intelligent to tell you that I mean a friendly and honest participants, because I'm no brain box myself, I just try and help as much as I can. Also the same could be said of the stupid questions that people ask.
But there are some sincere people who participate to your answers, and there are also many good questions.
When I get a reply, I just note the sincere people. The others would never get on Mastermind.

I think somepeople ask the most stupid questions which they can easily find the answers on the internet themselves.
Also i dont think people discuss issues enough. People dont seem to quote each other enough and make stupid brainless jokes when its all too predictable!
Other than that if its used correctly i like it!
Does seem the moderators are removing or giving out warnings to readily though.

Mostly - but I think some people could use it as a vox pop opinion tool. The trouble is that for every factual answer you get, there are a dozen wacko ones, so as a serious means of research it is very flawed.
But fun!

With the breaking up of JOINT FAMILY SYSTEM, this seems a viable alternative, a Global Family, where experienced people can pour out their experiences frankly to
Genuinely interested seekers,
Without inhibition, without prejudice, un-subjectively (objectively seems an emphasis-lacking word),
afforded by anonymity (just nicknames!)
thus,
sending out a clear message,
THERE IS A WARM HEART TICKING SOMEWHERE,
to tell you, you are still cared for !

its CRAP. i used to think its useful (and fun) but how much fun is it coming on here to be abused by undercover criminals who unleash their hatred on people such as myself who are Christian, and perhaps other (minority) groups who get trashed by everyone else (i've seen a question posted by an impersonator about Christians being killed (fed to the lions). But what happens to the abusers. I tried to petition against people who are abusive and my question gets removed without any notification or reason or explanation and i can only assume people who monitor yahoo answers agree with those abusers. well, stuff 'em 'en.

If we want a factual answer and sincere opinions from our questions seldom we can find it here. Somehow, it helps us to be creative in asking and in answering questions. A mental exercise for my stagnant brain cells.
