its not bad at all. i see them all the time at the stadium especially. even some players that have been gone for several years. as long as he didnt go to a rival, which culpepper didnt, (it he now played for green bay or chicago it would be bad) it ok. with the cost of the jerseys just wear it. dont throw away a bunch of money on a new one when that player may be gone in a year or two. the people who say get a new one arent paying for a new one, their mommys and daddys are!

If you're going to wear a jersey of a former player, make sure the player left the team on good terms and was well liked.
Randy Moss, yes. Even though he was controversial, he had a hard work ethnic on the field and made sure to bring his A game all the time, and he was a clutch player. He also gave to charity and was an all around good guy, even though he was a bit troubled.
However, not Daunte Culpepper. He jettisoned the player that made his career and put the Vikings on the map.
If you want a jersey of a former player, go for the all around good guys like John Randle (They still have his jerseys in thrift stores) and Robert Smith.
Also, if it's a replica jersey, take off the name off the back of the jersey with nail polish remover.

Whenever I see people wearing jerseys of players who are now gone, I can't help but think, "OK, he got soaked for $75, she got screwed to the tune of $75, so did him and him and her ..."
That's why I'm always so hesitant to buy NFL jerseys and wind up waiting until the guy's career is just about over before I finally get one. And you'd think QBs would be safe.
Anyway, unfortunately I think you need to ditch the jersey. Or take the name off or cover it with whomever is No. 11 now. He's not a Viking. You're supporting the Dolphins (via Culpepper) by wearing it.

OH MY GOODNESS, HOW UTTERLY TASTELESS!!!
To imagaine that anyone would commit such a social error in public is simply unimaginable.
I'm TRULY HORRIFIED that you would even consider doing such a thing. That's just scandleous to even bring up as a topic of discussion!!
Besides--who is this Culpepper (what a silly name, huh?) or this Vickings? Or is Vickings Culpepper's surname (last name/family name)?
And why does he have a "number" as you imply? Is it that he is from a large family?

I wouldn't wear it, I would keep it only because it might be a collectors item one day, but I wouldn't wear it. What you should do to support your team is buy one with out anyone's name or #, this way you are supporting the team in whole. Good luck!

If he was no longer playing (retired from the team) it would be okay. Since he is playing for the Dolphins he is considered the "enemy" . Get a new shirt with another number. My opinion only.
