I don't blame mother nature on Bush, that would make him God, and then I would settle for going to hell. He didn't bother to help people that needed it. He doesn't care about the average citizen, the only folks Bush cares about are the elite of the country, not those who actually have to work for a living and are most effected by his policies.
The people who were there when the storm hit were poor. They had nowhere to go and no money to go anywhere. And even after that, they still didn't get the help they needed.

President Bush grew to become into on the appropriate of the government. A catastrophe got here approximately. interior sight government failed first, state government failed 2nd. each person is a factor of the government. So while a large FUBAR happens, everybody blames the guy on the appropriate. Bush haters are the form of folk who will trash their residences and neighborhoods, their lives, jobs and the different social difficulty you be responsive to and then blame Bush. no longer considered one of them can state precisely what that's he did incorrect different than to call him an fool and a liar. yet those are the comparable people who say Obama is their savior and yet he has lied many times and has no longer the foggiest theory the thank you to scientific care any concern by way of fact he's on no account SOLVED a concern!!

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, and U.S. Senator from Louisiana Mary Landrieu (all Democrats) have a LOT of explaining to do about their corruption, incompetence and pork-barrel spending before, during and after Hurrican Katrina.
Regardless of your politics, everyone should take a good look at the Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) website, which will keep you posted on the subject of Katrina and other instances of government waste. See especially CAGW's latest ratings of each of our U.S. senators and representatives (Democrats may not like what they find, but facts are facts).
Just for fun, look up CAGW's founder, J. Peter Grace, at Wikipedia.

Are you serious? Do you really not understand why some folks can't evacuate?
The middle class and the rich have many tools at their disposal for evacuating from impending natural disasters. They have cars, credit cards, computers for making hotel or airline reservations, etc.
The poor don't have these tools! They often don't even have transportation or the money to afford a bus ticket. Those who might have the money for a bus or airline ticket but nothing else face a classic economic dilemma, do they spend their money and risk losing it if Katrina weakens or moves away from New Orleans or do they try to "ride it out"? They should not have to make this choice- especially in the case of a direct hit on New Orleans (a city below sea level) which scientists have warned the US government about for years.
It is government's responsibility to help the least fortunate among us.
*-> Never elect Republicans- they don't believe in good government and they prove it every time! <-*

bush had absolutely nothing to do with it , and ther eis not one person to blame , katrina was a huge disaster that you can't prepare for . And yes , I live in Houston and those people had 3 days warning to get out , my friend being in new orleans had plenty of time to make it to my house and we watched the news for another 2 days until it hit . then there is the argument of a lot of people were to poor to leave , this is false , there was plenty of public transportation taking everyone to the astrodome and other places , a lot of people just refused to leave . I rememeber watching the news of policeman almost fighting with these people trying to get them out

These are the people who would blame Bush for Eve eating the Apple. There is no reason why.......For the same reason people smoke, or do drugs. They have an addiction, Apperently it is an addiction to hate, this addiction has lead to mental retardation.

Not only did Bush not build the dam, he did not GIVE a damn.
He has time to eat birthday cakes, photo op with guitars, and let " Heckuva Job Brownie " run things - with absolutey no interest or compassion for people who had no way of getting out.

Remember Florida? They asked for help in a timely manner. Louisiana drug it's heals. The feds don't step in until the state asks them to.
This is a result of liberal public education not teaching basic civics.

True the people had warnings, but if you are in the poverty ranks and have no transportation, how are you supposed to get out?
