I know someone who did. They work great and she is delighted to not have the facial hair she had since she was a teenager.
She went three times a month apart. Early this summer, the first removed any hair that was there during that treatment and it will not come back for years (if ever). A month later the second removed any hair that was in the dormant part off its growth cycle so now two-thirds was gone. Finally a month later the third treatment removed the last hair that had been dormant during the first two treatments. At that point none of it is likely to come back since the treatment has damaged the roots that the hair needs to grow. They said that maybe a touch up would be needed after the summer but none was.

It cost $250 each treatment in New England to have it done by a real doctor. Since it works by overheating the dark hairs that are on the skin it works best if you have light skin and dark hair. You can not suntan between treatments since then your skin would be too dark for the next month's treatment.

This was for facial hair but the same thing works for body hair, age spots, and, using a slightly different tool, for tattoos.

I had this treatment over a period of six months. I am fair skinned with dark hair - and it was expensive and didnt have any success. Infact the opposite. I felt it accellerated hair growth. Stick to waxing and use a growth retarding cream immediately afterwards. I have tried everything for hair removal and this is definately the most successful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
