Use a warm iron to melt it and pull it apart. Then turn the fabric over onto an old piece of material and using an iron see if it will transfer to the old fabric but don't leave the iron on it too long, just long enough to carefully pull it apart. I have to say, when Ive tried ive managed to get rid of some of it but not all of it. It might have something to do with the type of material it is being used on.

I had to do the same thing once. I reheated the hem with the iron and gently lifted the area up. I think the directions are on the package of webbing. That's the main purpose of using the iron on stuff. Its supposed to be remove able.

Dritz has a product called 'iron-off' Hot Iron Cleaner. I bought my in Wal-Mart in the cleaning supply section. They also carry this in sewing stores. It really works great and I keep it on hand always.
