i would go to another doctor. i believe there are meds. they can give you to make your cycle begin. i do not believe you can become p.g. until then sense your not ovulating. oh there is ovulation test on the market now. my daughter used one and became p.g. the first time. good luck

Your doctor does not sound like the brightest crayon in the box - I would go for a second opinion - while it IS normal to have irregular cycles after coming off of the pill, it is NOT normal go a whole year waiting for another period. 90 days is the most time that it typically takes to regulate. You need to get a new doctor & hopefully he/she will prescribe you some prometrium (sp?) to get your period started back up. And yes, it is possible for you to conceive without starting your period up, but only on the month that your period would ultimately show up - you can't get pregnant if your body isn't producing the hormones to release an egg. Good luck

I personally wouldn't really start until you get your period or you will be wasting all kinds of money buying tests. Your still only 26 just relax and wait a few more months I am sure your just stressing which is also keeping your period away. Baby dust wishes!!!

Please try not to worry, it can take several months for periods to return after coming of the contraceptive pill and it is nothing to be alarmed of. However, you should still use some form of contraception in the meantime. HTH : )

Could be so. It won't stop you from 'trying' to get pregnant, though, so just do what you do to get that way.
You could pick up one of those electronic ovulation predictors and start charting temps, if you want some idea of when ovulation starts again after being on hormones.

Ask your doctor for prometrium, take it for 5 days then stop. This will cause your period to come.

it is true that it can take up to a year for your period to return, and yes you can conceive without having seen your period as it may just be getting set to return when you get pregnant. relax and good luck!

If your doc says that he may be right. I guess your body has to get used to it.Or you may want to seek another doc opinion.
