Its a sh it hole pretty much like manchester,liverpool,london,gla.sgow etc.......so stay away

Yes, I've been there few times on the day trip. Old town is lovely, I really enjoyed Scotland Yard Pub (don't miss going to the toilet while there!) and I ate once in Russian restaurant on the main square (can't remember the name though, sorry) and food was excellent. Second time I ate in medieval restaurant (again, forgot name, but you can't miss it, everyone is dressed up in medieval clothes and really friendly - it's just behind the corner from main square). Food was little bit to pricey, but atmosphere was great and you can eat really weird stuff like dried elk meet, wild boar and bears.... I heard night life is great, my friends often go there to party, but I haven't done it yet. Oh, yes, although I'm a woman, I've noticed that girls in Tallin are ridiculously good looking too.

i've been there. i'd have to say that i wasn't overimpressed with food (stay away from the square in the centre) but there were a number of bars open late. there is not a great deal to do (a couple of museums and walk around the besutiful old town) but it's worth seeing.
Riga is much more of a party town.

went there last year on stag do last year. very pretty if a not a little bit lairy...was frequently offered company???!! Okay for a boys trip...not sure there's enough for a full holiday
