i'm sick of seeing people spitting, just drove loads of school kids, girls and boys all spitting all over the place. When i was at school only the lads playing football felt the need to spit, have these people got a problem or something?
how can it be stopped?

Spitting is just so disgusting. On the odd occasion older kids in the park have spat all over the swings, slides etc so the little kids can't use them! I think a lot kids these days just have a total lack of respect for anything.

It's a role model problem that has come about from modern footballers spitting on the pitch.
Maybe we need a national football hero to say it's not cool to spit.

A suburb in Sydney have outlawed spitting and there is a $1000 fine. Disgusting habit

I know it is disgusting. My little boy came in covered in spit one day as some idiot in a hoodie thought it was funny to spit on a 5 year old. Just shows the mentality of these people really

It was banned many years ago to curb the spread of TB, since TB was effectively eradicated, it became acceptable, however, TB is now making a comeback.
Arabs spit a lot, so it may be that the school kids you saw were muslim

Spitting is horrendous. I hate the way some blow it out of their mouths fast so it flies out in a big gloppy gouk.......I don't know what that means either but it sounds appropriate. There has got to be a psychological explanation for it, probably relating to self esteem. They look so proud when they do it??

I agree with you. I've never felt the need to spit - have never ever done it. I suffer from asthma and hayfever too, so am often all gunked up. Spitters should be made to work as a cleaner in a tb hospital.

kids think they are cool with the spitting lark.
Try getting a powerful fan, then when they spit, put in on and watch the spit smack them in the face .!

It is totally gross and a wonderful way to pass on tuberculosis etc!
Walk over to them and appear to closely explore their spit. Then turn to them and ask then which one of them "Spat that gobule as you appear to have crabs.You should go and see a doctor about that!"
Then walk off all nonchalant!
