Because at some point in your life you have been exposed to movies, telebision shows, or comic books which depicted someone of the "superman" quality. This superman character was supposed to be able to fly without wings and leap tall buildings in a single bound. I suggest that this idea intrigued you so much that it became significantly written into your memory, possibly as a thing you wished you could do - an aspiration.

Try this for an experiment...
Go out into the woods and search for a little green tree frog. That is the variety of tree frog that has tiny little suckers on the end of each finger and toe. Catch one alive without harming it. Place it in a small box with a chunk of sponge wet with water. Take the box home and spend some time studying the tree frog with a magnifying glass. Try putting it onto a glass window and watch it move about on the slick glass surface. Watch it leap from one place to another. Look at its very smart eyes. Can you see how it watches everything around itself?

Now, did you have a dream about tree frogs? Or, maybe about walking up the side of buildings of glass using only your fingers and toes? Hmm-m...

You and thousands of others have the flying dream. I associate this dream with me being happy. It's a bit like the 'Snow man' cartoon.
Freedom = flying.

When you keep having the dream your falling down stairs that have no bottom then you have something on your mind that is disturbing you etc etc.

Maybe you wish you were and angel! Or you really want to learn how to fly. Or you're just drifting through your life not really succeeding at anything you want to.

Check any good book on the topic.
