I did and boy did i get ripped off . I was selling my house and had a sign up and they stopped by. they were the only ones that stopped by. My house was in a neighborhood that was going to hell. To make a long story short i got 20,000.00 for a 60,000.00. Well they went to redesigning it and sold it for 90,000.00. In a ratty neighborhood who would pay 90,000.00? I was so p---- i never drove in that neighborhood again. And will never again. They are crooks and I hope they get what is coming to them.

I have not used them before. And no they are not crooks what they do is legal even if they are taking advantage of some people. They buy homes that people think they might have a hard time selling due to the condition or from people that can't pay their mortgage and are going into forclosure. They pay at least (usually more) than 25% below market value. I would advise to sell yourself or use a realtor. Only use these types of services as a absoulte last resort or you will lose money.

I gather you had an "ugly" house and you did. I did check that option out when I was selling my house in Scotland to come back to the UK because I wanted a quick sale. When I saw how much less they were prepared to offer me and I needed the best price possible cos I was moving back home to England, I decided against it. National Homebuyers is another SCAM they should make illegal too.

I have not but I see those signs everywhere!!! I was told that they don't give you very much for the houses that they buy. I think it is mostly for people that are just looking for a quick way out.

No, I have not. But if you are in a bind but need a quick way out (sell to get cash or can not make your mortgage payments) ) then it would be good for you. But I am thinking they would not give you fully what it was worth. It is a way for them to get property, fix it up and turn a profit for themselves.
