Assuming this is a serious question, I will give you a straight answer.
Giving is serious business. When you put money in someone's hands, you have a great deal of impact on their life. Improperly managed, it can and does do more harm than good. Having been involved in the process of giving of substantial resources, I can give you some tips:
Make sure the recipients have a good track record with the use of money.
Have access to some form of accountability.
Make sure the donees have goals that are aligned with yours.
Make sure they are discreet with your giving, and keep your philanthropy completely secret.
Have a good relationship that allows you to communicate not only with the top people, but the rank and file, so you can get a true sense of what's going on.
Don't be tempted to manipulate. If their goals are different than yours, find another donee. Don't try to control their organization.
Don't get a Mother Theresa complex. If you have the gift of financial resources, stay focused on your business, and leave charity work to those that are better suited for the task. You and I are needed not for our bleeding heart, but our business acumen, and that must remain intact.

I find this strange question to be honest... I always find there are more charities and people to help than I can possible help! One kinda vagure idea is to accept genoristy as much as give it. If people see that you are humble and willing to accept help then they are more likely to ask you for it when they need it.
Also, lots of charities run schemes where you can go abroad and help in a country of your choice. I did this my gap year and it means that I have a particular attachment to the place where I worked and the charity that I worked for and therefore I find it necessary to give more money to them. This also, gives you a chance to see what needs there are and then maybe yopu could set up your own campaign. For example, if you are working in an Aids orphanage and you noticed that the children don't have much in the way of clothes/toys then you can buy them a selection of these goods. This way the gift is personal and you know that the people in need are getting what you send.
You could also adopted an orphan if you want to make charitable genoristy a bigger part of your life.
Also, see what local volunteering oppotunites there are around you in your local area. Your time is just as important as your money and I bet there are lonely/sick/depressed people around you that would just love an hour of your time. Maybe visit old folks homes etc. As you branch out into other areas of society you will probably begin to notice people's financial needs to an will be able to begin to help i.e. installing a new garden in an old folks' home or something.
Remember, whatever you do, if you don't treat people with love and respect then there's no point to doing all the rest.
I hope this helps and isn't too preachy...

Well, the holidays are right around the corner. Maybe you could adopt a family for christmas. Another idea, you could check with the local schools in your area, ask to speak to the school councelor and they could help you identify under privliage children who could use clothes and school supplies. School supplies are a growing need in every school and you can't go wrong. One more idea, there is a space camp that is going on in Alabama in May and the cost is 275.00 per child to go and sadly lots of kids can't go because it's hard to budget that. The space camp is for fifth graders only and all money and forms are due at the end of this month. This 275.00 includes:
-round trip to Huntsville, via chartered bus
-two nights lodging at the Space Camp Habitat
-six meals at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center
-Access to Rocket Park and Museum (two scavenger hunts)
-Space Camp Simulators (hands on)
-Mock Mission (hands-on)
-Ominimax Imax Film
-Graduation Ceremony with certificate and pin
-3 Space Camp T-Shirts
I know there would be a few kids that would like to attend, but can't. If your interesed e-mail me and I will give you more info.

Why not establish a charity yourself? If I had the money, I would clean the environment where I live, mostly just cleaning up trash heaps in the ghetto - something that I can see get some results and something I think might lift people's spirits.

Are you kidding?? If I wanted to be a smarta** I would just say send it this way but if you really want to give to something but are tired of the traditional charities, try giving to a foundaton that all they do is good deeds. You know your money would be well spent and wouldn't be going to the same cause all the time. But...if you are feeling generous I need about 50,000 to finish my home and get myself out of debt!HEHE

Why do you feel the need to share all of your weath? If you already give to charity, but feel like you want to do more, give more to charity. Simple as that.

A scholarship, create your own charity, donate to or sponsor a school, church charities . . . if that doesn't sound promising I'll gladly take some cash off your hands.
