thats goddamn easy and simple .just click on download and a dialog box appears asking whether you want to save it to the computer harddisk or run from the present location ie open
if you wish to save it in the harddisk then chose a location for the file being downloaded
select one like desktop or my documents or create a new folder in any drive (not c ) ,name it so that you can easily remember that and click save it to my computer

and then if the file is a heavy one of big size then it might take a long time .sometimes they will ask you to have a updated version of browser ,ask for acrobat reader in your harddisk if its pdf file or even macromedia flash player .

if you want it in your flash disk then it should be of huge size like 1 gb storage.

bye

usually my first go is www.download.com -- tons of reliable software downloads from them with user-friendly instructions. it's part of c|net, a reputable internet website.

otherwise, i always have limewire at hand www.limewire.com. my friend used it even to download microsoft office. great software!
