I think it may be your spirit that actually left your body while sleeping. is it a good thing tho? I don't think so... you know, if you do something like that pay attention to where you are, because it's really dangerous for a spirit to leave its body...
another interpretation, is that you are what is called in french "femme de nuit", which is a woman who's spirit leave the body usually around midday, 6pm or midnight, while sleeping or naping without knowing it... it would not be wishable for you to be like that since it's not for good reasons...

Absolutely. One night I dreamed I was drinking this delicious chocolate milkshake. When I woke up, I was stuffed and still had the taste in my mouth! And that's only one example or mine, not including the THOUSANDS of reported cases of the same thing I've heard of. In one, a woman kept walking through this house, every night. She loved the place but had never been there when awake. She and her husband were actually looking to buy a house, but all were too expensive and too small. One day they passed this house and she yelled, "stop!" It was the house from her dreams. The woman who answered the door turned out to be a Realtor just putting the house on the market! She knew the house, in and out, from her dreams and the price was cheap enough they could afford it and it was big enough, too. They agreed to buy it. The Realtor confessed that they were selling because the place was haunted. Then the owner met them and was shocked-- the woman buying the house was the "ghost" she kept seeing, which was the buyer astral traveling through the house! Wild, huh?

I do believe this because; actually I have a friend who experience this type of events very often. Is a point in time when you spirit gets disconnected from the body and travel, and you have "this feelings".Do not worried,if you want you can do a little research on the matter at the library.

I'd say it was just a dream. It's actually quite rare for me personally to not use all five senses in a dream--if I eat something, I taste it, and I dream smells as well.

You can remember smells. Which is probably why you still smelled it when you woke up. Like you have memories, you can envision your memories. It's like that with smell. You can remember a scent.
You're dreaming about something you may be longing for.
Sounds like a nice dream to me.

Probably you already had that smell in your nose before going to sleep, therefore your dream.

Could it be that I was the guy in your dream last night? I sense the connection already.
