Noodle dearest, how the devil are you?

Here is the story...Me and my sister were about maybe 11yrs old and we couldn't sleep...so we went downstairs and asked our parents if we could stay up and watch tv a while (they sometimes let us do it so we used to try it on all the time)...

This one time they let us, Carrie just started on TV...Both my sister and I shat ourselves big time...the bit where her hand comes out of the grave at the end of the film...seriously, we could not sit on the cracks of the sofa for months after that!!!

My parents are bast ards...they knew what they were doing, we were really not as inclined to watch grown up teevee with the grown ups after that!!

Yes, a German movie called 'das Experiment'. It's about how normal people can change completely and become monsters when they are given too much power. I had nightmares that this might happen to people I know, when they have to go to war for example. The thought that all your moral and ethical standards can disappear completely just because of a different environment scares me a lot.

Yes... It was a documentary about the Japanese in the WWII ... it was frightening!

BUT, the VERY un-fightening movie ever that I have nightmares from was the WARNING RATED-PG. I have no idea, but everytime I heard and watch that, it gave me chills and nightmares!

Imagine being frightened by a 5-second show - it's not even a show really, it's just that thing where a male voice says "RATED PG, PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS ADVICED"

I don't know, it gave me the creeps, I overcome that fear when I was 12 years old.

Any psychological connection?

Schindler's List, and I'm not even Jewish. Although it wasn't classified as a horror movie, I still say it could be. Horror movies usually don't bother me....it's movies like that - Schindler's List that really, really get to me because you know all that insanity actually happened...and not all that long ago when you think about it.

I was in a bad mood for a week after seeing that flick.

There's a film called Threads which was all about nuclear war and the after effects, it's a very bleak film with no positive conclusion.
I remember when the threat of nuclear war was a possibility and they used to have the 'Protect and Survive' information films on TV, and this film put the frighteners on me.

Yes I have had nightmares after watching a non horror film.

The film was The Gunrunner with Kevin Costner.

Totally scary film due to how c**p it was.

As a kid, i watched Daryl Hannah in Splash. I'm a Virgo and someone told me that Virgos are mermaids. This scared the hell out of me cuz i was convinced that someday I'd grow fins and loose my legs because of watching this film.
Up until this day i have a habit of curling my legs up when in bed.

Yes, actually I have watched various films, like dramas and even comedies that I have had nightmares from. Like marrying the local geek, for example.
