Yes, they can be addictive. I think it has to do with the fear of pain/unknown associated with the first one...once you realize the pain isn't so bad, you might be eager to get some more.
I got a small one (out of sight), and I would consider getting a second one. But only if my wife wanted it...she's the judge ;-)

LOL. I started with a small one on my ankle. I am now up to 4 and have another 4 or possibly 5 more that I'm dying to get. So, to answer your question, tattoos are extremely addictive. Have never met a person that stopped at one and if they did, it's only cause they whimped out.

I think that tattoos could be called addictive, because once you get one you realize you can live with the pain. Then after months of admiring (and being admired) your tattoo you find yourself wanting to add more decoration to you (the human canvas). Mind you I'm not tattooed, but I have another painful addiction, and after the first shiny piece of metal was pierced through, I couldn't get enough of it.

Yeah, kind of....I stopped at three when my body started rejecting the orange ink used. Evidently my skin didn't like it. I still have the tattoo (didn't want to have it removed), but it itches like crazy and I still have to put ointment on it (it's been 4 months since I got it). I didn't react to my other tattoos, so just be aware that this does happen sometimes.

I think so - got my first one at age 43 in 2005, got another in May 2006 - already have the next three drawn & I'm ready to get them!! I don't plan to do more than 5 or 6 total - most are where they can't be seen unless I wish to show them off!!! Enjoy your ink - get them when you want; life is short - you are not guaranteed tomorrow!!!!!

I have one and I don't want another one. More than one on a girl looks trashy. But it is your body so, it's up to you what you do to it. Tattooing is addictive because of he rush of adrenaline a person gets after the pain.....you'll find that most people who have a tatoo have more than the one.

They are addictive but make sure when you get something like that it really means something to you and isnt just on a whim. And tatoos are not really permanent you can get treatments to remove them, but why would you want to waste your money on that make sure tatoos are what you want on your body. I think nothings wrong with them and have never had any complaints from guys.

yea they are and i believe it comes from the fact that the person depending on their degree of pain tolerance basically discovers it did nt hurt that much and then they begin to think of what other tats they want now with the fear pushed aside they can easily take the seat and the needle ......btw i have 3 myself need to get like 5 more to complete me ....
