Well, currently the only jobs available IN SPACE are the crews of the ISS, Shuttle, and Soyuz craft.
In space-related work, there is much more opportunity. You can work at a government agency (NASA, ESA, JAXA, etc) or at an aerospace firm. You can work as an engineer, programmer, astronaut assistant, pilot, cook, administrator, janitor... really, any kind of work at all. All of the roles are valuable, even the janitor; without someone sweeping the floor and taking out the trash the others could not be productive.

Radio astronomy calls for qualifications like electric powered engineering. you could actually turn your hand to different careers like telecoms. Like maximum clinical disciplines, astronomy needs IT experts. lower back, IT qualifications would be utilized in lots of industries. An astronomical observatory, monitoring station, the Jet Propulsion Lab or an corporation like NASA or the ecu area company hire all forms of experts besides astronomers. good success.

I assume that the "world's oldest profession" (prostitution) will be a career option in space as well. No matter where you are, people still want to have sex.
