Please recomend weekend getaways around delhi/gurgaon...not jaipur please. And pl recomend a place which u have experienced yourself. Otherwise there is enough info on the net. Preferably a place where kids can enjoy too. I have three year old twins but travel is not a problem with them. They are used to a lot of travel. Even a five-six hour drive is ok with them.

You may visit Chandigarh - Pinjor. And can extend by one day for Kasauli further - all in the same direction.
Chandigarh - you may visit Rock Garden, Lake and local markets.
Pinjor Garden is a good off-city cool place for spending time - half a day including travelling from Chandigarh.
Kasauli would be another 90-120 minutes drive from Pinjor by car and have its own attraction of peace, calm, nature and a few tourist spots in a radius of 2-3 kilometers.
All three places are a good combo for adults and kids together and one can hop / terminate one's journey anywhere in between and come back / re-schedule whenever desired.
I have visited all three places (many times).

you can go to pushkar ajmer rajsthan this is a hindu pilgrim place and so many cultural activityes in this town may be bater to teak ajmer shatabdi morning 6 am from new dehli till ajmer and than from thear a texi to pushkar so about 1 pm you are in pushkar on weakend one france lady make some partys in her resturent and during the day you can go around both the lakes and may be on a hill and may be camel safari with kids

Got Shivpuri (17 KM from Rishikesh). There camping on the beach (bank) of Ganga. Do lot of activity including Rafting.

Why dont you come to kasauli, a 4.5 hour journey from delhi to chandigarh and 1 hour to kasauli on shimla highway, really a heavenly place

you can try driving to corbett.. the drive is excellent.. some good waterfalls around that place.. not very engaging for kids.. but yes. they can run around.enjoy fresh air,, and see some animals and farms.
