It's called "Morning" sickness, though in my experiance, it's "All Day" sickness, or "Morning, Noon, & Night" sickness.
As long as she is eating a healthy diet, and getting her vitamins down, the baby should be fine. If she's throwing up pretty much everything that goes into her stomache, then talk to her OB/GYN about it. There are medications that can be taken in extreme cases, but only in extreme cases. They are not perscribed often.
Make sure when she wakes up, that she lays in bed for a few minutes before getting up, maybe even having a slice of toast while still in bed. Have her let it settle before getting out of bed.
Limit drinks to non-eating times. The mixing of liquid and solid in her belly can cause her to throw up, so eat first, wait a bit, then drink the liquids.
Ginger is a natural soother, and can be found in tea's, and in ginger ale. If she's got a very upset stomache, have her drink a ginger based tea or ginger ale, and see if that helps her stomache out any.
Basically, your girlfriend has a lot of hormoans pumping through her body right now. Hormoans she's not used to. They can cause a big change in her body- they are what tells her body that she's pregnant, and that things need to expand, or change. They tell her uterus to expand, and her stomache to feed the life growing inside of her.
But they can also wreck havoc on a woman's body, as well, making her sick, or crabby, or not seem like herself.
Remember to make sure to talk to the doctor about it, as well!

The vomiting is probably just normal morning sickness. The stomach pain might just be from vomiting too much - it can make your stomach muscles sore. But she should be seeing a doctor anyway. Take her to the doctor to make sure everything's OK. Pain is a warning that something's wrong.

the sickness (vomiting ) is caused by ,
a build up of hormones as the new baby is developing
this vomiting will stop, at around 4 month,
as her body gets settled , to the idea of pregnancy .
This is all quite normal
However;;
If her stomach is aching,
it would be wise, to ask your doctor about it .
and anyway ,NOW is a good time to have a check up
to make sure ,all is going wel l with the pregnancy
all best and congratulations

The nausea & vomiting part of pregnancy effects different women different ways. I was sick through my whole pregnancy, still vomiting the day my son was born. I tried EVERYTHING. My doctor even wrote me prescriptions for phenergan. Nothing worked.
If this is something she's concerned about tell her not to wait until her next appointment with the doctor, she can call the doctor's office and talk to a nurse.

When I was pregnant, my husband had all of the symptoms. I didn't have any morning sickness, cramping, none of it. The only thing was I slept a lot and my husband couldn't sleep at all. LOL LOL LOL LOL.. That was the best pregnancy of my life. hahahahaha...(Sorry honey) Have to to eat very small meals as opposed to eating 3 big meals. When she gets nausea, have her eat saltines, not ritzs, SALTINES and drink plenty of natural juices. She should be feeling better in a couple of months.

Probably just morning sickness....just a part of pregnancy that ends after the first trimester. Just to make sure it's nothing more serious have her see the doctor.
