I am an South African and saw on TV the war at Iraq.

Can anyone exactly tell me why American soldiers are dying over there? It seems a bit pointless I tell you.

I have a teory that any country with a bit of oil is not safe from Bush and his government. Can anyone from anywhere tell me that I am wrong?

you are absolutely correct. no country is safe from "King George" and his lackeys. even our own states (alaska especially) are in danger from this tyrant. he wants to wipe out all environmental laws so that his industrial pals won't have to spend one red cent on cleaning up the environment. he even wants the american taxpayer to pick up the cost of cleaning up polution caused by these same thugs.

Bush raided Iraq simply to appease his father's defeat there earlier. There was never any weapons of mass destruction. The fact that there was oil there was a bonus.
The terrorists were never in Iraq. If he wanted to fight terrorism he would never have pulled most of American troops out of Afghanistan. Or perhaps he should have attacked Pakistan where their leader says that bin Laden can enter and stay there as long as he breaks no law.

I once met a man from South Africa who was white and he was the 3rd generation of his family. He also said that caucasians were oppressed (economically, occupationally) from the natives. Is that true? Now for your question, Yes, we are after oil, and we'll stop at nothing to get it. I have put a mowing deck on my SUV so that I can manicure my lawn and support big oil at the same time. That's why we are thinking of invading Alaska next. South Africa beware!!!!!!!!!

not me! bush has history with oil--texas etc. all the top politicians are involved in these big money making ventures that they ride on the back of poor people. think about it@! you cant even have a hair of luck to run for our government unless you have at least a million dollars! that surely erodes the so-called "for the people, by the people" stance that we are supposed to be governed by. its all big business/money. what i would like to know is why usa has been soooooooooo long in making/using alternative fuel source. oops i know the answer--its about oil and big money! the best to you!

North Korea has a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Why didn't we invade them? Because all they have is KimChi. (A food with the main ingredient of fermented cabbage.) Iraq has oil. We invade. Everytime we do anything in that part of the world it is at least partially for the oil. (I am an American)
Keeping the world safe for lite sweet crude at $20.00 a barrel should be our national motto.

no, I'm afraid you're right. There's a lot of us in the US that aren't exactly happy with the man. America is having her share of problems that's for sure. The Bush administration seems to be digging their hole deeper and deeper. And the people just continue to drive to work in the morning and drive home at night, tired and broke, hoping the kids won't be too obnoxious when they finally get home.

You are wrong. If it was oil, why are we paying so much for gasoline. Also, if it was about oil, why didn't we go in and overwhelmingly crush the country and just take the oil.

People need to think instead of being a parrot for catchy leftist cliches.

population control??? we are supposed to be fighting the war on terror, but it seems to me that if that were the case then we would be other places too. in my oppinion this war is about control and oil connections.
